I finally made it to Publix today! Honestly I was not impressed with the sale that is going on this week but I there were some things I wanted to get like the $50 Amex gift card and the $25 gift card. Here is the deal with the gift cards and they are only good through tomorrow:
$50 American Express Gift card: There is an in-ad coupon for $10 off a $50 Amex gift card. There is a $4.95 activation charge so it works out to being $44.95 for a $50.00 card-- Hello FREE money!!
$25 Gift Card: I chose a $25 BP gift card but you can get ANY $25 card. There is an in-ad coupons for $5 off a $25 gift card when you purchase $5.00 In Hallmark products. Well I didn't realize my boo-boo here until I was posting my deals but this is what I did. I purchased (5) $.99 cards = $4.95 (oops I was short $.05). I also used a $2 off and 3 Hallmark Expressions coupon that was on a tearpad in the card section. So I paid $22.95 for (5) cards and a $25 BP gift card-- Hey every little bit adds up!
So my OOP (out of pocket) was much higher than usual but now I have those gift cards to use which I plan on using for gas since my "gas saver" Honda is now costing me almost $60 to fill up! I also bought a few items that I didn't have any coupons for ::gasp:: but it was stuff we needed/will use so it was a good deal to me -- like the two bottles of wine =) As usual if you have any questions about what I bought or how I deal a particular deal let me know.
