My Publix Trip 6-30 Saved 52 percent & have $100 in Gas Cards!!!

As you can see I did not buy much as far as things for dinner and such because we will be on vacation soon but there were some deals I wanted to get and coupons I wanted to use that would expire while we were on vacation. I also wanted to get in on the gas card deal since we will be driving A LOT and any savings on gas is good for me! I split my order up into two transactions. I could have done more but I didn't want to push my luck! Like one of my readers pointed out I basically spent $24 on all these groceries including diapers, wipes & soda - because I would have spent the $100 on gas no matter what!! Yeahhhh!!!! Oh and one other thing that helped bring down my OOP was a $20 gift card that I won! See entering those contests I post pays off eventually!!! Here is everything I bought- Let me know if you have any questions!!!

Baby Bond Nursing Cover Review & Giveaway!

Sponsored by Tomoson.com

BabyBond(TM) is the maker of nursing covers that cover mom, not her baby, while maintaining modesty. The baby remains in view and is able to make eye contact, interact and communicate with mom and others nearby. Knowing how important these interactions are to cognitive and language development, Missy, the creator, designed these to make the nursing lifestyle discrete and easy.

I have nursed both of my children. Although this can be a touchy subject for some my personal opinion is that it is okay to nurse in public but not everyone wants to see and I respect that. I have always been one to make sure that I stay covered but I have always felt terrible on those super hot days making my little ones hide under the nursing cover. They let me know this too by trying to rip the cover off their little heads.

BabyBond sent me the BabyBond Flex & it was the perfect solution to both of my problems! I can now nurse my 8 month old while not having to worry about exposing myself because BabyBond works as a nursing cover (but it only covers mom & not baby) and a cover for those areas where I might have to lift or pull down my top. I stayed covered, the baby doesn't & both of us can be comfortable while she nurses!

BabyBond Flex™ is worn like a sash, functioning like a nursing top. Nurse from the top of your shirt. Separate the layers of fabric to achieve latch on. Double panel keeps breast covered above & below. Belly & back remain covered with your own shirt. Removable 9 x 12″ double layer terry velour burp cloth. Able to attach any cloth or wear without cloth attached. Stores in matching pouch.

PROS:

* It is light-weight.
* It folds neatly into it’s own compact pouch.
* It also has a large tag on the cover itself with illustrations of how to wear both ways.
* It comes in 4 different sizes!
* Comes in neutral colors (Chocolate, Black & Charcoal) so you can use them for both boys and girls- I chose black for mine
* Has a detachable nursing cloth that can be thrown in the wash easily

CONS:

* It takes a little practice figuring out how to use it.
* It is not as easy as throwing a traditional nursing cover (or blanket) over yourself - so baby may become impatient while you get it adjusted.

Plentiful Pantry's Asian Pasta Salad Review , Giveaway & Discount Code!!

Sponsored by Tomoson.com

Since becoming a stay at home mom one of my goals was to learn to cook better-- actually who am I kidding? I could barely cook at all. I would like to say over the last year or so my cooking has definitely improved immensely - ask my husband he actually goes for seconds now. I was super excited about reviewing Plentiful Pantry's Asian Pasta Salad. Everything my hubby makes is on the grill - and I mean everything! So it is nice to have something that doesn't require charcoal & lighter fluid to cook it!

Started by Debbie & Jody (Her husband) in 1992 as a result of her ongoing passion for great food. She did the recipe development, Jody did the tasting. She had run some great restaurants and took pleasure in entertaining their friends with fabulous meals. When asked for her recipes, she would tell them about the chopped garlic, fresh herbs and different spices used. Now, they weren’t saying that their friends were lazy (we prefer to view them as “time challenged”) but they wanted an easier way. That’s when the fun began. Debbie converted all of those good fresh ingredients to dried and they were in business.
In the beginning they focused on ways to make quick and easy pasta dishes that would rival those in the best restaurants. As they have grown and added products they still keep in mind everything must be quick and easy as well as healthy. And last but certainly not least the flavors must be outstanding. After all, “you can get average in your grocery store”!

Plentiful Pantry sent me their Asian Pasta Salad to try

This is exactly what the package looks like including the teeny bottle of EVOO =). The only ingredients needed to finish off this delicious recipe are:
3 tbs. hot water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 red pepper, diced
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained & chopped
2 cups cooked chicken, diced (optional)

I made our Asian Pasta Salad with the chicken and it was delicious. This tasted just like something that came from a restaurant. I made it during the day and put it in the fridge so I could serve it as a pasta salad but it can also be served as a hot stir fry! I look forward to the opportunity to try out their other flavors like the Buffalo Wing Pasta Salad!!

They don't just sell Pasta Salad they have everything from side dishes, desserts, dips, pastas, pizza kits, sauces, soups and MORE!

AWESOME Deal!! Spend $20 and get $60 in Winn Dixie Coupons & More!!!

Living Social has an awesome deal listed under Orlando! The good thing is that you don't have to be in Orlando to get in on this deal but it is only good tonight 6/26! The deal today is to get the Enjoy the City coupon book for only $10- They are normally $20/each. The BEST deal in my opinion is to get 3 of the booklets for only $20. Each booklet has a TON of coupons for all different places from restaurants, entertainment & even grocery stores! My favorite coupon is the $5/$30 Winn Dixie coupon. There are 4 of them in each booklet! That means if you buy 3 books you will get a total of 12- $5/30 coupons!! That makes it a $40 money maker!! This is a great deal for people who shop at Winn Dixie or their grocery store (i.e. Publix) takes Winn Dixie coupons!!

It is under Orlando and then scroll down to find it.  Once you buy the voucher from Orlando’s deal, you can order the book for your own city!!!

**Most coupons state that they are “Valid at Participating Orlando (or the city for that particular book) Locations.”  The Winn Dixie coupons, however, state “One Coupon Per Purchase” but do not limit the coupons to just Orlando!  If you purchase three books, you will score twelve $5/$30 coupons which more than covers the expense of the books   Coupons for Winn Dixie expire 6/30/2012.

Go here to get yours!!!
